THE FOHH TEAM

LAURA PAPWORTH - FOHH CHAIR

Hi, I’m Laura. Like Helen (Vice Chair), my son’s Dante (year 2) and Leo (year 1) started Harwood Hill later in the term, and it’s been the best move we’ve moved. I offered to help with the planning of the Fireworks in 2018, attended a few meetings and next thing I know, I’ve been nominated in as the new chair. I am very friendly, approachable and love planning an event (I even took home courses in wedding and party planning after the birth of my third child to extend my hobby) so I feel I can do you all proud and make every child have a memorable time at Harwood Hill. I am looking forward to completing the library project that our wonderful predecessors started, and making our mark on the Outside Learning Project.

HELEN PURKISS - FOHH VICE CHAIR

Hi I’m Helen. I have 2 children at the school, Rosie in Reception and William in Year 2. We joined the school a little late when we moved to the area, but were all made to feel really welcome, and the children have settled in well. I joined FOHH to help out as I know how much schools need help with extra funding these days. I also thought it would be a lovely opportunity to get to know people and make some friends, which so far it has been. I look forward to future events and getting to know more people.

EMILIE BOYLAN - FOHH SECRETARY

I am Emilie, mummy to Madeleine who started reception in September 2018 and I am currently in post as the secretary for the main committee of the FOHH.

SAMANTHA TANDY - FOHH TREASURER

My Name is Samantha Tandy, I am Mum to Aaron in Reception and a 3 year old named Anika. I joined the Friends of Harwood Hill this year as treasurer. I wanted to be involved in fundraising at Harwood Hill so that I could help to enrich the education of all of our children, at a time when budget cuts mean this is more important than ever before. I am looking forward to seeing the library flourish, and the outside area evolve through the work we are able to do as a PTA.
